
Executive Director
Bob Gummers has been the Administrator at United Hebrew Congregation since December, 1987. Prior to coming to "UH," he was the Executive Director of Shaare Zedek Synagogue in St. Louis for 4 years. Before moving to St. Louis in 1980 to work at the Jewish Community Centers Association, he worked in Jewish Community Centers in Rockford, IL; Omaha, NE; Des Moines, IA, and Margate, NJ.
A native of Omaha, NE, he holds a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Nebraska at Omaha and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work and Religion from the University of Iowa.

Program Director
Ken Schwartz has served as Program Director of United Hebrew Congregation since July, 1994. His responsibilities include the development of all social, cultural, and recreational programs for congregants of all ages. Ken also serves as a resource to all program committees and helps to coordinate fund-raising programs.
Before joining United Hebrew, Ken worked for ten years at the St. Louis Jewish Community Centers Association as Director of the Family Program and Group Services Department.
Ken received his Bachelor's Degree in Sociology in 1980 from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota, and a Masters of Social Work degree from George Warren Brown School of Social Work at Washington University in May, 1982.
Ken currently serves on the Alumni Boards of both Macalester College and Washington University. In his free time, Ken enjoys playing tennis, softball, and going to the theater.

Early Childhood Center Director
Renee Kohn is the Saul Spielberg Early Childhood Center director. She began her affiliation with the preschool in 1987 when the first of her three children attended and was an active parent. Renee began teaching in 1999 at SSECC and became the science specialist for three year olds, and the camp science/nature specialist for all age groups. Renee received a B.S. in Business Administration from Truman University and received a Certificate of Proficiency in Early Care and Education from St. Louis Community College in 2005. She is a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and Early Childhood Educators of Reform Judaism.
Amy Stone
Director of Development
Amy is our Director of Development. Her position is dedicated to strengthening the financial foundation of our congregation and , therefore, ensuring our future. Her professional experience includes her work in advertising, real estate, promotions and event direction.
Amy is a member of our staff, but she has also has been a longtime UH volunteer in various capacities. She is a member of our Saul Spielberg Early Childhood Center Board and the creator of the "Nosh Wear" t-shirts, a fundraiser for the Early Childhood Center.

H. Lee Rosenberg
Youth Director
H. Lee Rosenberg has been working with the Youth at United Hebrew Congregation since 2004. The Youth Director aims to get all youth through the doors of UH and interested in their Judaism through youth groups, Israel, camping, and other informal education programs.
Before moving to United Hebrew, Lee was an advisor for youth groups in Cincinnati and Boston. Originally from Orlando, where he had the pleasure of being a NFTYite in GORFTY, Lee holds a Master's Degree in Clinical Psychology from the University of Cincinnati and a Bachelor's Degree in Philosophy and Psychology from Tufts University.

David Cohen
Organist & Assistant Music Director
David Cohen has been on staff since 2000, working closely with Cantor Eichaker on various projects (including our Kol Yisroel CD), playing for Shabbat and holiday services, accompanying and directing our Adult Choir, and arranging and composing music especially for use at United Hebrew Congregation.
Originally from Buffalo, NY, he holds degrees in Music and Music Education from the State University of New York at Buffalo. His professional career began at the age of thirteen as a substitute church organist, and over the years he's worked for churches and synagogues in Buffalo, New York City, Asheville, NC and St. Louis. From 1979 -1981 he was a member of the Philharmonic Orchestra of Caracas, Venezuela where he played keyboard instruments and mallet percussion.
In 2008, he was elected to the board of the Guild of Temple Musicians, an international affiliate organization of the American Conference of Cantors.
Dave is also an Advertising Account Executive with The St. Louis Jewish Light, and has served two local churches as organist and choir director. He and his wife Sara are the parents of Cleo and Marc, and he has another daughter (Sarah) who is an interior designer in New York.
