We have added a page designated specifically to inform our members about different ways to get involved in the congregation. ONGOING OPPORTUNITIES

 

Shabbat Greeter – Greet people or congregants and guests as they arrive for Friday night services, for about 30 minutes. Contact – Marsha Kunin at 314-469-0700.

Office Assistant – Help with mailings, filing, phones, etc. Any week day, during business hours. One time occurrence or on a regular basis. Contact – Marsha Kunin at 314-469-0700.

Gift Shop – Assist with sales and gift wrap. Any week day, Friday night or Sunday morning. Contact – Iris DeWoskin at 314-469-0700.

Choir – Join the choir for special events and/or High Holiday services. No long term commitment required. Contact – Cantor Eichaker at 314-469-0700.

Bake for Special Onegs – Bake for special Shabbatot where homemade goods are desired. Contact to be on a “bakers” list – Debra Grund at 314-469-0700.

Volunteer Recognition Committee – Identify ways to involve more members and recognize our volunteers. Meetings once per quarter. Contact – Sheryl Bauer at 314-469-5461.

Programmatic Ideas Team – Brainstorm (not implement) program ideas and identify areas of interest. Meetings once per quarter. Contact – Marisa Reby at 314-434-3404.

Mitzvah Visits—Visit members in nursing homes, make a visit on behalf of UH to a shivah home or drop off gifts for new babies born to UH members. One time occurrence or on a regular basis. Contact—Doris Fagin at 314-469-0700.

 

SPECIAL EVENT OPPORTUNITIES

Day of Service – March 25 is our next Day of Service. Help is needed that day to complete service projects for the community. Contact to be a specific Project Captain – Marisa Reby at 314-434-3404.

175th Anniversary Year of Celebration – Beginning with Rosh Hashanah, we will celebrate our 175th anniversary. Help is needed with programs and celebrations throughout the entire year. Volunteer for one task or a subcommittee. Contact Rabbi Brigitte Rosenberg at 314-469-0700.

WRJ Grounds Beautification – Help the Women of Reform Judaism with spring garden maintenance and improvements. Contact – Bob Gummers at 314-469-0700.
