Mitzvah Committee

The purpose of the Mitzvah Committee is to personally touch families during lifetime events such as birth, illness and loss of a family member. We send cards, deliver fruit baskets to homes and offer help to those in need. The committee members plan and implement Shabbat and holiday services at nursing homes and visit the residents who are part of United Hebrew Congregation. Educational programs are provided to help us perform our role and to provide our congregational members with additional knowledge to cope with their difficulties. We continually evaluate our purpose to be responsive to our community's needs.
