- What is NFTY?: NFTY is acronym for North
American
Federation of Temple Youth.
- And MV?: Right,
that means Missouri Valley.
This is one of 19
regions
of NFTY. MV is reallllly big.
- What is a Chavurah?:
That is some crazy Hebrew word that means fellowship or a group
of Jews who meet to do some activity. In this case it means, a
weekend of fun, prayer, programs, socials, food, friends, and some more
fun.
The United Hebrew Temple Youth Group (UHTYG) needs your help to
make this event run smoothly. Specifically, we need people to:
- House &
Transport: Host Homes will provide
3 meals (Shabbat dinner, Friday and Saturday
Breakfast) and some snacks, floor space for the teens (out of towners
will
bring sleeping bags), and transportation in the morning to UH and back
home in
the evening for the weekend. Details on housing and the housing
information form is here.
- Meal set up
and cleanup: Thursday

Breakfast
- Decoration
and setup for the
Saturday evening social.
- Donate or
help solicit donations
for participant welcome bags.
- Register the
participants as they
arrive on Thursday.
- Be a greeter during the
day: Thursday, Friday, Saturday, &
Sunday
