We don’t like to talk about death, but it is a reality of life. With that thought in mind, we put together a series on “Death and Dying” that begins in early May. Not an easy topic for any of us, but an important one. In this series, the goal is to help you explore what Judaism says about death and dying, learn about Jewish funeral and mourning customs, hear about funeral planning and the benefits of pre-planning, and to learn about the Jewish cemeteries in town. Each of these sessions is meant to stand on its own, however, we encourage you to attend all of them or as many as you can.
May 4 – Jewish Attitudes Toward Death and Dying
(Led by Rabbi Rosenberg)
May 11 – Jewish Funerals and Mourning Customs
(Led by one of our clergy and Richard Stein, Berger Memorial)
May 18 – Introduction and Benefits of Pre-Planning
(Led by Richard Stein, Berger Memorial)
RSVP to 314-434-3404 so we may know how many to expect.
