I Am Jewish Book Discussion
Sunday, January 26 at 10:30 a.m.
Join Rabbi Rosenberg for a discussion on the book I Am Jewish. This book was written in memory of Daniel Pearl following his horrific death. His murderers videotaped him before his death, and his parents found comfort and a beautiful message in his last statement, “I am Jewish…” Following his death, many Jews felt the power of his message and began to write their own messages of “I am Jewish,” which his parents gathered and put in a beautifully moving and powerful book. Together, we will discuss our own perceptions and feelings toward the many writings in this book and hopefully consider writing our own statement of understanding of what it means to say, “I am Jewish.”
RSVP to Angie Klenke.
