Monday, March 1, 2021

Entertainment: Free
1:00 pm on Zoom
Join the United Hebrew, Shaare Emeth, Temple Israel and Temple Emanuel Seniors for a Zoom program with Billy Planer from Etgar 36. His presentation will explore the reality of the relationship between the Jewish and Black communities during the Civil Rights era. Why were there Jews on both sides, and the sidelines, of the Civil Rights movement? What was the role of Judaism in the activism of young people in the 1960s? What are the implications for the streets of America today? After you register, you will be e-mailed the link to join the interactive program on your computer or other device or the number to dial if you would like to join by phone only.  You may also watch on this page if you don’t want to interact with people.

LUNCH—$10 each

We will be providing a boxed lunch for pre-order catered by Sugarfire Smokehouse. You will have your choice of a brisket, turkey or portobello mushroom sandwich and either coleslaw or potato salad. The lunches will be available for contactless curbside pick-up  between 10:30-11:30 a.m. at Shaare Emeth on Monday, March 1 in the South Lobby circle drive.  If you are unable to pick up your meal, please let Valerie know when placing your order.
