Join us for the next program in our Wednesday Matinee Film Series for the film Hanging Up starring Meg Ryan, Diane Keaton, Lisa Kudrow and Walter Matthau. When Eve (Ryan) isn’t being pulled into a million directions by her own life, she’s being sucked into lengthy phone conversations with her cranky father (Matthau) or her two sisters (Keaton and Kudrow). As the family becomes more and more dependent on Eve, transforming her into the human switchboard that connects them all together, Eve discovers that the ties that bind can also be the ties that gag! Her revelation doesn’t sit well with her sisters, forcing Eve to realize that sometimes to be heard you just have to hang up!
Lunch, preceding the film, will include eggplant parmesan, cheese tortellini, salad, dessert and popcorn. Cost is $7 for UH members and $8 for non-members.
To RSVP, please e-mail April Hickman or send a check payable to United Hebrew Congregation, Attn: April, 13788 Conway Road, St. Louis, MO 63141, by Monday, February 8. For more information, call April at 314-434-3404.
