Join the United Hebrew, Shaare Emeth, Temple Israel and Temple Emanuel Seniors for our May Virtual program. “Am Yisrael HA! What makes Jews so funny? And how did “The People of the Book” turn out to be superstar writers, producers and comedians? On this tour, we will take a lighthearted look at the origins of Jewish humor and the major contributions of Jews to the rise of a global industry. We will celebrate the diversity and vitality of Jewish humor, and explore how elements of Jewish joking have remained constant regardless of time, place, and language”. After you register, you will be e-mailed the link to join the interactive program on your computer or other device or the number to dial if you would like to join by phone only. You may also watch on this page if you don’t want to interact with people.
We will be providing a boxed lunch for pre-order from ORZO Mediterranean Grill. You will have your choice of:
- Grilled chicken in pita with tomato, cucumber, romaine, feta and tzatziki sauce on the side. Comes with ½ salad
- Grilled Falafel in pita with tomato, romaine, feta, roasted red pepper hummus and parsley. Comes with ½ salad
- Grilled lamb gyro on pita with tomato romaine , feta and tzatziki sauce on the side. Comes with ½ salad
- Chopped portobello grilled salad with romaine, grilled red pepper, grape tomato, feta, roasted red pepper hummus and Greek dressing on the side.
The lunches will be available for contactless curbside pick-up between 10:30-11:30 a.m. at United Hebrew on Monday, May 10 in the Sanctuary circle drive. If you are unable to pick up your meal, please let Angie know when placing your order.
