Legacy Circle
The Legacy Circle honors United Hebrew members whose generosity and foresight secure the future of our congregation. By embracing a variety of planned giving opportunities, these donors have created enduring legacies that strengthen UH for generations to come. The Legacy Circle was established to celebrate and recognize this extraordinary commitment, ensuring their impact is acknowledged today as it shapes tomorrow. Members of the Legacy Circle are listed in UH’s monthly digital bulletin and are invited to special recognition events in gratitude for their lasting dedication.
Ner Tamid Society
The ner tamid is an eternal flame; a light that is symbolic of God’s eternal presence, never to be extinguished.
Jewish tradition teaches that one of our key responsibilities is to make the world a better place for future generations. We are eternally grateful to the individuals and families who have given generously. They have been and continue to be a source of strength for United Hebrew Congregation.
The Ner Tamid Society includes those who have demonstrated their deep commitment to United Hebrew Congregation since the dedication of our sanctuary building in 1989. We honor those who represent that dedication, protecting and preserving our historic congregation for the generations to come.
All nameplates displayed on the Ner Tamid Society wall in the sanctuary lobby are designed to be easily updated to reflect higher levels of giving and are placed at random.
“I did not find the world desolate when I entered it.
And as my parents planted for me before I was born, so do I plant for those who will come after me.”
–Talmud Ta’anit 23a
