United Hebrew coordinates many vibrant groups for our youth for kindergarten through twelfth grade. Beginning in 6th grade the United Hebrew youth groups are affiliated with the Union for Reform Judaism’s North American Federation of Temple Youth (NFTY). NFTY is a Movement that builds strong, welcoming, inspired communities through teen-powered engagement. Together, we pursue tikkun olam, personal growth, youth empowerment, and deep connections, all rooted in Reform Judaism.
All youth members of United Hebrew are automatically members of our youth groups.
K-1-2 Ducks
This kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade group connects young children and their families to the United Hebrew community. We have 3 or 4 family programs and special activities just for the kids. We have fun, celebrate our Judaism, learn a thing or two and bring smiles home!
Club 345
This 3rd, 4th and 5th grade group has monthly lounge nights and a few out of the building events.
NFTY:678
This 6th, 7th and 8th grade group meets monthly for social events, primarily on Sunday. The 7th graders also have the opportunity to attend a high school style NFTY convention.
NFTY:UH
High Schoolers meet every Wednesday and have an event about once a month. We run fundraisers and help at congregational events. There are 4 NFTY Missouri Valley conventions, Leadership, Fall, Winter and Spring. Every other year, there is a North American Convention.
