Check your email for your username and password.  It may also be found in the Purim mailing that should hit the homes after 2/10/24.  Make your selections and pay online by the deadline of Sunday, February 23.

Giving gifts of food is a mitzvot of Purim and with the UH Purim project, it’s easy to fulfill the Mitzvah of Mishloach Manot. You simply choose the recipients and write a message, we take care of packing and delivering the gift bags in time for Purim which begins on the evening of March 13.  You can send these gifts to your UH friends & relatives, the clergy, UH board, your child’s class and teachers, or to the whole congregation! You also have the option to “turn on reciprocity” for $36 and automatically sending a bag to anyone who sends one to you!

Each family will receive one bag with a message from everyone who is sending them Purim wishes. Additional bags may be purchased if you wish.

• First recipients (choose up to 5 recipients for one flat price): $18
• Every recipient thereafter: $5 each
• Send to the SSEECC community: $118
• Send to the entire UH community: $360
• Send to anyone who sends one to you: $36
• More special group options are available!

Purchase additional Purim Bags to give your children, or for relatives, friends, and neighbors who are not directly affiliated with United Hebrew:

• Have UH pack a bag for you to give: $8 each

Purim Carnival & Shpiel | Sunday, March 9

10:45 a.m. – A Wicked, Wicked Purim Spiel
An ensemble of clergy and congregants come together for a dramatization of the Book of Esther. Based on music from Taylor Swift.

11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. Purim Carnival
Join us for our 2024 Purim Carnival at United Hebrew! We will have some new and exciting games. A carnival you won’t want to miss! Be sure to dress up in your favorite costume.

Tickets are $10 in advance or $15 at the door (adults do not need tickets)

Purim Social Pop-up Bar | Thursday, March 13 at 7:00 p.m.

Celebrate Esther, Mordechai, and get into a Purim State of mind with our Wicked Purim pop-up bar. We’ll have Purim nosh with Purim inspired cocktails. Come dressed for Purim – as Moredechai, Esther, Vashti, King Ahushueras or based on your favorite character from the land of Oz!

Megillah Reading | Thursday, March 13 at 8:00 p.m.

Join us for our annual reading of the megillah as we usher in the celebration of Purim with UH clergy and congregants telling the story of Esther and the Jewish people.
Bring a large shakable food item such as rice or pasta to be used as a grogger during our reading of the megillah and then donated.
