Seniors

United Hebrew offers many opportunities for our senior community to engage. In addition to the adult education and service offerings, we host monthly senior programs in partnership with Congregation Shaare Emeth, Congregation Temple Israel and Temple Emanuel. Each of these programs begins at 12 noon with a delicious lunch followed by a speaker or entertainer.

Here is our current 2026–2027 senior lunch dates list with locations:

• December 14: Temple Israel
• January 11, 2027: Shaare Emeth
• February 8, 2027: United Hebrew
• March 8,2027: Shaare Emeth
• April 12, 2027: Temple Israel
• May 17, 2027: Shaare Emeth
• June 14, 2027: United Hebrew

In addition, 2-4 times per year we offer Jewish Seniors on the Move, a program where active St. Louis Jewish seniors can enjoy day trips, tours, food and friends while exploring St. Louis! This program is presented in partnership with Congregation Shaare Emeth, Congregation Temple Israel and Temple Emanuel as well.

The monthly joint senior programs and Seniors on the Move are made possible through a grant from the Women’s Auxiliary Foundation for Jewish Aged, a supporting foundation of Jewish Federation of St. Louis.

Transportation

Thanks to the generosity of the Eugene and Betty Wolff Transportation Fund, Senior Members of United Hebrew Congregation can receive door to door Taxi service for Temple activities.

All we request is that you call the Temple office at (314) 469-0700, at least one day in advance to make your reservations.
