The Torah and the Hebrew Bible tell the origins and the story of the Israelite people from its earliest stages.  If forms the foundational narrative of the Jewish people, as well as providing the mitzvot which have shaped our culture for millennia.  However, what if history does not match theology?  Join Rabbi Reinhart to explore an overview of the archaeological record on the origins of Ancient Israel from the first traces of a distinct people to the beginning of the Second Temple period.  We will focus on the scientific/scholarly evidence as it both confirms and contradicts our Sacred Scriptures.  So, come prepared to wrestle with the meaning of “Truth,” as we learn how history and narrative may not exactly match up.
